LibreChat is a chat interface you run yourself, pointed at the models you already pay for. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Azure, AWS Bedrock and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint work side by side, so a conversation can start on one model and carry on with another. The project is MIT licensed. ClickHouse acquired it in November 2025.
What changes is where the money goes. A seat-based plan charges the same for the colleague who asks two questions a week as for the one who lives in it, while LibreChat charges nothing itself and passes you through to provider APIs. Two things to know before switching. The API bills remain yours. The hosted Code Interpreter is a paid LibreChat service rather than part of the self-hosted install.
